“Deliverance”

This is another shot of the abandoned train. It is actually three shots merged together to create an HDR image. Again, I muted the colors for effect. I feel it adds to the image and reminds me of simpler times. Yesterday was the blog’s best day ever thanks to all the new viewers and comments. Feedback is always appreciated, so let us know.

Mini-Rant Blog
Let’s look at this album cover for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers “Greatest Hits” album. It is absurd! Whoever designed it needs to be fired and/or shot. It looks like the person took a picture of the band, warped it, cropped a circle out of it, and pasted it on a red background using Microsoft Paint. That wasn’t enough. They then decided to import their catastrophe into Microsoft Word and create the title using……are you ready……WORD ART. Who uses word art anymore? Especially for album covers. I’m convinced that Tom Petty himself designed this cover immedeatly following his “last dance with mary jane.”

  1. Nice use of colours to create a gloomy, yet sort of comfortable feel.
    Enjoy your day!
