“Hey There…”
This is a picture of my new puppy Delilah on our recent outing to the Fanno Creek Park. Fanno Creek Park sits right behind city hall and it just so happens that there are a bunch of dog fanatics that work there. I was watching Delilah play when a man dressed in business attire approached. He was on the phone at the time and asked me to hold on a minute. He quickly ended the phone call and started talking to me about my pup. He explained to me that he worked at city hall and has a boss that has 3 Corgis of his own and that they were currently at Yellowstone. He said even though his boss was out of town he knew a few people in his office would like to see her if that was ok with me.I said sure, I didn’t have to be back at work for a few hours and had nothing else to do so why not?
We headed up the path to the office where he asked me to wait outside so he could fetch his co-workers. 15, I kid you not, 15 people came outside to see Delilah. They eyed her and played for a while until it was only 3 women left. One of them asked me if she could take Delilah’s picture, she just had to run inside and grab her camera. Again, I had nothing better to do so I said of course.
After a good 10 minute photo session I thought the festivities were about to come to an end but she asked if I would allow Deli to have her picture taken on the boss’ desk as a prank. I thought it was a little strange but I obliged. So we went into the boss’ office and had another photo shoot. Finally it was over, I thought. Nope.
We headed back towards the door with a dog-obsessed posse on our tail and had to stop at the cubicle of every pet owner in the building to look at pictures. It’s not bad, and I don’t mean to be rude, but it was a little overwhelming. Oh well, everyone was nice at least.

WOW! Looking back and re-reading that I have come to realize it sounds a lot like one of Bill Schlichting’s adventures with his dog. It is a sad day when I see similarities between myself and him. Don’t hold it against me! Please?
Puppy picture! Thanks! You did have quite the adventure with Delilah, but you are nothing like Bill Schlichting…yet. As long as you don’t quote Deli, or worse, let her write her own column I think you’ll be fine. Please, please don’t become the creeper that stalks young women and finds his dates in chat rooms ok?

What a great picture! I have a pembroke corgi. Don’t you get tons of strangers stopping you and asking you about your corgi? Strangely, we always do!
Yes I do. It seems like everyone that stops me to talk either has one of there own, or know exactly what breed it is. Everyone is very friendly though so it’s nice.
