Dude, old men are badass. My grandpa might be one of the badassiest of them all. Look at him, with his squinty eyes and his badass smile. And those SUSPENDERS. Suspenders are the definition of cool. What a pro. I am being 100% serious by the way. Anyway, this is another one of those profile shots I have recently taking a fancy to. This one is kinda tweaked in photoshop but, you know what, that’s okay. I think photoshop is a tool just like a camera and all those people who call it cheating or say that it makes crappy pictures look good are just jealous that they don’t have the know how to accomplish the effect. I like to think I can take a good picture and it will be superb without altering it in any way but then again there are those times when I have an idea in my head and the the only way to produce that idea is to use a program like photshop. I think that as long as you take the picture with the intent to finish it on the computer then you have done nothing wrong.
This image, I knew before I took it that I wanted to make it look a little bit surreal. I think the effect adds some drama and interest to it myself but I would love to hear what you have to say about the image and the idea of photoshop in general. Leave your input in the comments.
