I’ve been listening to a lot of new music lately. Stuff that just came out and stuff that’s just new to me. Deerhoof, Cage the Elephant’s self-titled debut, Arctic Monkeys’ new album Humbug, Modest Mouse’ new EP No One’s First and You’re Next, and my personal favorite is Jack White’s new supergroup The Dead Weather with Horehound. I highly recommend it because it’s just brilliant, as with most anything Jack White does.
The band is comprised of Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs), Alison Mosshart (The Kills, Discount), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age), and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes). Sometimes a great lineup does not for a great band make. But this is not the case here as nearly every song has at least 4 stars in my media player. Of course, that’s, like, my opinion man. You can get a taste below if you so desire.

I have a strong feeling you’ll like Owl City… check them out here (if you don’t know about this already): http://listen.grooveshark.com/
A band with a few roots in MN–just thought you should know.
